Students from Grades 6-8 can participate in the beginner category and students from ages 15 to 20 can participate in the Intermediate and Advanced Category.

Ans. The official language of the conference is going to be English, having one Japanese Committee.

Q. Will Meals be provided during the conference?
Ans. Yes they will be provided. Delegates will have to fill out the form for their dietary preferences.

Q. Can teachers or faculty members accompany student delegations?
Ans. Yes, teachers or faculty members are welcome to accompany student delegations to GIISMUN Tokyo
Chapter 6. We suggest one faculty advisor for 10 students.
Conference Preparation & Participation
Q. Are study guides or background guides provided?
Ans. The GIISMUN Delegate Handbook, Rules of Procedure alongside Background Guides for each committee is available on the website. www.giismuntokyo.org
Q. Are opening speeches required for all delegates?
Ans. Yes, delegates are generally expected to prepare an opening speech to present their country’s position during committee sessions.
Q. What is the time limit for speeches?
Ans. The standard time limit for speeches is usually 60 to 90 seconds, depending on the committee chair’s discretion.
Q. Will there be training sessions or workshops before the conference?
Ans. Yes, pre-conference workshops or briefing sessions may be offered to help delegates understand procedures, debate formats, and expectations.
Q. Is there a dress code for the conference?
Ans. Yes, delegates are expected to wear semi formal attire such as suits, blazers, dress shirts, formal skirts, or trousers

Q. Are there any Socials or Networking sessions planned alongside GIISMUN Chapter 6?
Ans. There will be a cultural exchange program for all the delegates in which they get to express their
talents, enjoy the joy of togetherness and create friendship with everlasting memories.

Ans. Yes, Participation certificates will be provided to all the Delegates part of GIISMUN Chapter 6.
